Studio Time

After some time away due to work and commission based projects - I'm back! Having not had a studio since university it was time for this to change, so with the opening of Elysium's new High Street Studios I jumped to it and cannot wait to start working on new projects and to be part of Swansea's newest cultural hub.

As you can see from the images, there's quite a bit of wall space to cover!

A First Time for Everything!

Taking on commission work can at times be challenging. Drawing is an integral part of my practice, no making takes place until the drawings are right yet as the wire does tend to do what it wants to do, the finished product isn't always an exact copy of the original drawing - it is usually better. An example of this is the below Fire Extinguisher wire piece with text, made to the same scale as the real thing. A challenge to make but thoroughly enjoyed it!
